My car is pulling to the left with summer rims

Hey guys,

I dont know why but ever since I got my Summer rims put on, my car is pulling to the left really bad. If feels like my alignment is ****ed up... but just swapping Winter to Summer wheels shouldnt effect this...should it?

Ive checked my tire pressure and everything seems fine.

I did get a local shop to put everything back on the car (lights, rims etc) but Id hate to think that they screwed around with something.

I dont know WTF is going on.

No I dont think so, cause the ride is pretty smooth, no vibrations or anything. I just feel like if I let go of the wheel I am gonna head right for the gaurd rail. It totally feels like an alignment problem but I just dont understand why now all of the sudden after I get some company to throw my wheels on Ive got this problem. Weird eh?

Well dude ideally you would want to get an alignment whenever you change your suspension setup or rims. I mean, if a decent size pothole is enough to throw you off (it is you know) then raising a car up, applying force to it (loosening then tightening lugs), then bringing it back down again MUST do something.
That said, I've never needed an alignment and I've removed/changed my wheels plenty of times. Take it back to where you had the rims installed and ask them what might be causing the problem.

It could be uneven tread wear.
Did they rotate the positions of the rims/tires? (ie front to back/left to right)
or is it the same position as last yr?

its just that u alignment was always off, just that with your winter tires, contact path is not as good as summer tires and werent as sticky as summer tires, and once u changet to better tires u can feel alignment is way off

it could have something to do with that directional tread bullshit. If you've got a rim on the left that should be on the right it might **** it up.... know what I mean?

Yeah I thought of that last night and checked to make sure they were all facing the right direction. Im guessing that maybe the alignment got a little messed up during the Winter and Im only feeling it now cause I have the bigger wheels and tires on. Who knows??
Im taking the car in for an oil change tomorrow and Im gonna have them do the alignment as well. Hopefully I will be able to drive hands free after that. haha
