Why is my sound so high-pitched?
I was in a friend's civic and his stock system sounded real balanced. When I went back in my car, I noticed that my sound is very high and my bass is a plus 2. WTF? I have a stock cd player with aftermarket speakers. Can anyone help me with this issue? Is it faulty wires? Help.

Bass doesn't affect highs ... it affects bass. If you wanna adjust the highs play w/ the treble.
Aftermarket speakers are usually more efficient so they can go louder. And if you have the super 5-way speaker etc.... thats a lot of highs in the system. IMO a good coax is best. Even 3-ways are on the virge of being a marketing buzz feature.

people arent used to having a flat response in their vehicles.
coming from the stock system, with or without tweeters, to aftermarkets, especially when they install the tweeters directly on axis, accentuates the highs that many arent used to.
if its too much for you, id just turn the highs down on the radio, you should be set.
