Question Side Airbags?

Okay, well I really wanted to get side airbags in my EX coupe, but that's not how the deal was cut. I was reading about some RSX seats being sold with airbags, but no sensors. Is there any way I can get side airbags if I hypothetically buy the seats that are "airbag" compatible? What would I have to do? Thanks.

The SI setas I'm selling have the Side Impact Airbags. When I bought them, I had a contact in Honda Parts and he got me the sensors I needed to make the side bags work in a civic that didn't have them originally.

If you just connect them into your civic now, you will have an SRS red light show up on your dash.. That simply means that the side bags aren't functional due to the missing sensor.

Hope it helps.

is that all you need? I heard you need a new ecu that can handle the airbags and would need to reprogram your key accordingly.

I have RSX-S leathers with side airbags, all I need is a sensor? You got a part number?

do side airbags really do anything?

By no means am I an expert in this area but I doubt it, you wouldn't want your side airbags going off everytime your main ones did.
