socket size of rotor bolt
does anyone know what size (metric) is that big bolt thingie that holds the rotors on our cars? i rented one from autozone b4, and now i don't remember what size it was...i think it was 32mm? or was it 30?

um, thats not holding the rotor on.... thats holding the wheel bearing in place. the rotors are not actually bolted to the car, but rather are held in place by the caliper and the wheel. take the caliper off and the rotor should just come off. (there are 2 philips head screws possibly holding it on, but ushually the fall out. No biggie, just take them out and the rotor will just about fall off.

yea thats it but my screws were tough and i know of a couple of guys who stripped them. so b carefull. i used the propper #3 phillips head bit with a pipe wrench to turn it. it was that crazy!!

that big *** nut is 32mm.. but that holds the axel spindle to teh hub so it doesnt pop off when you drive
there are 2 large screws that hold the rotor to the hub assembly.. and the caliper that makes sure that doesnt slide off.. then u got your wheel holding everything down...
