Where did u run your nitrous hose from bottle

I'm thinking about putting together a custom nitrous setup. Just wanted to get a consensus of where u guys were running your nitrous line from the bottle in the trunk. Did u run it through the passenger compartment and then out the firewall or did you drill a hole in the trunk and run it along side the fuel lines under the car.

-thanks

I drilled a hose and ran it under the car, along the left side, up through the fender well and then into the engine bay. I used a NOS brand Y connector so i could run a nitrous gauge on the pillar. the line for the nitrous gauge goes inside the car under the back seats and under the driver side door sills and up to the pillar. It took time for everything but it was worth it.

There is nothing wrong with running the line inside the passenger cabin...that is what I did and I ran the line down the passenger side. Plus to me it just seems easier to do it that way.

I already have 2 4awg wires on that side for my battery being in the trunk. the driver's side has 3 sets of RCA preouts so I'm looking to go under the car lol.

i ran it in the cabin..along the passenger side, under plastics, and through the firewall. Most sanctioned race tracks require that you run them underneath the car....but most dont care or check anyway so w/e.

isn't running it inside the compartment dangerous?

also, how on earth do you do a custom nitrous set up? i've never heard of such a thing? do you mix nozzles, lines, bottles and such?

please tell me, i'm confused.

It isnt dangerous in my opinion. If it is at all, the risk is probably minimal. I know its ok to do it that way though. Custom kits arent bad I dont think. You got it exactly right though, its just a mixture of different brand parts pretty much.

mine is ran down the drivers side under the trim pannels then the sill plate trim, then i poped a hole thru the firewall used a gromet and ta-da. Was much easier then trying to under paseenger side with all the heat/ac box stuff. But thats just my opinion

The way I did it, I didnt have to mess with the heat/ac or anyof that. Theres an existing hole in the fire wall behind all that. All I had to do was poke a hole in the insulation. The only drilling I had to do was for my bottle brackets, switches and nozzle. Trust me, it was very simple.

I did mine through on the passenger side under the panel too. I previously drilled a hole in the firewall, so I used that. No problems here, and I still had plenty of line left in the compartment. I have an electric N2O gauge, so those wires run down the center under the rug.

Straight from the NX website, they say best through the inside of the car
http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Images...nstall-pg1.htm

Start Routing the nitrous feedline from the trunk to the engine compartment.
it is always best to route the feedline through the interior of the vehicle.
Remove all necessary interior panels to keep the hose out of plain sight. This will also protect the hose from kinks and cuts. Once hose is routed re-install interior panels.
f at all possible pull feedline through an existing rubber grommet in the firewall. If not drill a hole large enough for the b-nut to fit through and install a grommet to protect the hose. When routing the feedline through the engine compartment, keep the hose away from metal edges and any exhaust piping.Remove all necessary interior panels to keep the hose out of plain sight. my cousin had found a nitrous faq before that tells how to actually make one out of stuff. he said that you can use a certain type of fire extinguisher as a nitrous bottle and i think it's a nitrogen one and it makes sense because a nitrous atom consists of 2 nitrogen and 1 oxygen=n20.... in case any noob didn't know. he also knows how to make different jet sizes. he has done it before except he used an actual nitrous bottle though.
