This should be a quick No answer, regarding a Head Swap D17 Mini Me?

Was just talking to a friend who seems to know a little bit about Honda motors, and this thought came across my mind as were were discussing them. Are the D16's and D17's still the same engine block, but just having a bigger bore/stroke? Or are they slightly different, with say the oil and coolant runners?

Reason why I ask, i was reading about older civics where some people like to build the Mini Me setup (D16 with ZC head) and made me wonder if it was even remotely possible that a ZC Head would even work on a D17.

I'm sure this has been answerd, but a search didn't turn up anything and I was limited to the min. numbers of letters I could search by. (ZC wasn't enough letters to seach on

I've been told many a time in both nice and mean ways that they're very different. D16's and D17's I mean...

If I remember correctly only some tranny parts are interchangable with the last gen series...

Our engine you can not frankenstein. none of the d16 or b18 will fit except some transmission pieces. if you want a frankenstein it, you have to get a k20. you can swap pieces with the k20 and k24's.
