How to properly adjust tien SS

When you are raising the ride height the spring collars are supposed to move up, right ?

Well I did move it up a few inches but the ride height on that wheel stays the same, the ground is even, and there is nothing holding the car up.

Any clues as to what is happening ?

I read the hayame thread but am still unclear.

Naw.. hayame and tein are totally different...
In order to lower TEINS you move it DOWN
To RAISE them you move it UP

what did you do wrong.. you tried lowering the height by raising the perch
The spring is supposed to come loose. thats just the way teins were designed. Its possible that the springs will pop out but eh it rarely happens so i wouldnt worry about it too much.

There is two spring collars with the Tiens, which one is for lowering and raising ?

I always thought it was the first one that raises and lowers while the second one locks them together.

Well if you think about it... they're BOTH to raise/lower the car since they should always be together.. lemme break it down...

To lower the car:
You want to lower the 1st locknut to do this right. But then in order to you must lower the 2nd locknut first...
To raise the car:
You want to RAISE the 1st locknut right. Well the 2nd has to follow it in order to tighten it against it.

So ya pretty much they should always be together in the end. Hell spin them together if you want. Just make sure they're tight after your done adjusting them
