I had an AEM SRI and it raised gas mileage by 2mpg. When I took it off to go back to stock, it went back down. The FIPK is probably the same. Usually they increase mileage, as long as your driving style stays the same. Alot of people like to drive harder to hear the intake, then the mileage drops.

yeah...I like to slam on the throtle then close it quick. It sounds similar to a BOV....now please don't flame on me if you actually have a BOVon your ride.

ditto...but it is the best intake for our cars...3rd intake for me, and this outperforms AEM CAI!

DO a search for the dynos on K & N FIPK II, Injen, and Aem.

I have the drop in K&n now, and I am getting the fipk II, I think the k&n
drop does nothing to imporve gas mileage....our civics already get 38 mpg

I found that in my car the K&N drop in did improve gas mileage by .5-1 mpg.

I didn't notice a significant difference from my fipk. Like someone else said...it's all in the foot and your driving style.

CapYoda has a spectacular aura aboutCapYoda has a spectacular aura about
duno about the FIPK, since I haven't drive econo style for awhile..

but when I had the drop in filter.. an obvious 3-5 mpg gain. thats a butload.

went from average of 31 to 35-37 for me (mix of city and highway driving at high speed)

but even driving with the occasional lead foot, I still get around 30+ with the FIPK. so its not killing mpg or anything.

holy crap...is there something wrong with my car..

i only get 300 miles with 12 gallon....

this is normal city (a bit highway) driving..

with K&N drop filter...
granny drive like, 2500-3000rpm shifting...

bad?

maybe caused by cold environment?

Hell, I get 400-440 miles to a tank and that's without an intake. And I drive with a heavy foot.

52,000 miles and making 400 easy on regular unleaded and with no other mods other than my GReddy Evo Cat-back. I would think that you would be close to that atleast.

I get 300miles per tank IF I'M LUCKY!! Usually I get 200 miles per tank. And that's with granny driving with the occasional (like once every month) WOT.

oh..and i'm stock as stock can be.

*drool* I want 400+

Mobil 1, 0W20
>> F***ing Toyota dealer (where I bought my used Honda) overfill my oil....and i think they don't use syn oil...

NGK Iridium IX
>>my spark plugs right now might probably killed by the previous owner....might be the cause of my low MPG....

Dirty carburator or throttle body......
>>might caused by previous owner too.....and "hibernation" in dealer...
>>Im gonna try to fix it using the throttle body cleaner...chevron, perhaps?

hm, what else? any ideas?
