Exclamation WTF!!! Cant Hold Alignment!! Please Help!!

alright, wtf??? yesterday, i went to tire king to align my car since i just dropped it with neuspeed race and spc camber kit in front/rear. right after i left yesterday, i noticed the car would pull to the right and that i had to hold the wheel at 11 o'clock to get it to go straight after the alignment. i went again today since i have a 6 month warrenty on the alignment and the guy readjusted the camber/toe/caster all again then i went with a test drive with him that went fine and they did some final adjustment again. now, when i was driving home it was doing the same thing again with the alignment, wtf????

here is what the camber/caster/toe looks like today:

Front
Perviously:
Right - Camber: -1.9 / Caster: 0.8 / Toe -0.01
Left - Camber: 1.7 / Caster: 0.8 / Toe 0.07

Everything was fine with the front except the Camber which was adjusted

What it was set to when i left:
Right - Camber: -0.7 / Caster: 0.8 / Toe 0.04
Left - Camber: -0.3 / Caster: 0.9 / Toe 0.04

Rear
Perviously:
Right - Camber: -3.1 / Toe 0.21
Left - Camber: 2.0 / Toe 0.18

Camber and Toe were both bad today when i just took it yesterday for alignment

What it was set to when i left:
Right - Camber: -0.5 / Toe 0.11
Left - Camber: -0.8 / Toe 0.11

everything was set perfect and in the green when i left the shop today

as i was driving home, it was still leaning right, so im guessing that the camber/caster/toe is all bad again. i should also mention that these measurements are from my second alignment and that im sure it was much worse the first time, yesterday. odd thing is that before my alignment the car was not pullin any way and i really only got the alignment to fix the camber in the rear tires. another problem is that the steering wheel is shaking alot. i had them check the balancing in the front tires and they said they were perfect. i dontthink the rear tires being off balance would cause a problem with the steering wheel vibrating over 70 mph. the vibrating was also occurring before i got the alignment.

do anyone at all know wtf the problem is with my alignment and how i can fix it?? also, what is the problem with the wheel vibrating??

thanks alot for the help, i appreciate it alot.

i just checked tire pressure and it was about 8-10 psi short all around so i filled it back up, but it didnt help any. wheel still shakes around 70 mph and alignment is still bad.

are you on summer tires?

my tires pull to the left or the right sometimes....

im on KW suspensions.. V2. i had it aligned..... and im droppped almost to the lowest as it can go. with 17in. rims w/205/45/17 tires

i dont pull to either side all the time.
it's the roads.... b/c of the uneven'ness..... and depending on your spring rates... you'll feel it a lot more and the tires may pull to one side b/c of the road structure.

city roads arent nothing like track road.....
if im ever on a smooth road.. i will not pull to either side.

not sure if that helps.. but htis is what i sort of figured out on my own. i wouldnt say that it's a fact though.

my two cents

ya, this is on my 205/40/17 summer tires/rims. it seems like all roads and i never noticed it pulling anywhere on my stock hubs/tires. and i know the alignment keeps going because when i went back and they showed my all the alignment details, it showed it way off. what could the problem be?? and whats up with the wheel vibrating?

steering wheel vibration vibration?

if you feel vibration.. it usually means that your tires/rims arent on properly. <----- verrrrrrrrrrrry dangerous, im sure i dont need to tell you that though
the nuts may be loose.. or maybe you dont hvae a centric ring on one of your rims?? or your wheels need balancing.

could be other reasons.

i check the torque and it was all 80 lbs and when i went to the shop they check the front balancing and it was perfect, and i know from experience that if the back is off balance you dont really feel it all all like you do in the front, so i didnt check those. im not sure about those hubcentric rings though? are they supposed to come with my rims? i never had any problems last year when i first got my rims in end of july

I was just going to say you may need hubcentering rings. Without those, once a wheel is bolted on, the wheel can shimmy and create an area of weak contact between the rim and the hub. You should be able to get them at tire king or where you got your tires. Should be like $1 each.

could the hub centric rings fix the problems with alignment and vibrating or just vibrating? what are they, just a plate between the rims/hub?

Did you try moving the front tires to the rear and then test drive?

im pretty sure you need the huncentric rings for all aftermarket rims.

they are meant to be stuck in the back center of your rims.
if you've taken your rims off for the winter.. the rings might of come off without you know it.
it can be stuck in teh back of your aftermarket rims.. and it could off fallen off some time during the winter when you were handling it.

this is just one possibility.
but im like 99% sure that you need the hub centric rings for all after market rims. i may be wrong though...

if you dont have the rings... there will be a slot between your rotors and rims that is open.. which would casue it to vibrate b/c of the space that is not covered up.

mine didnt come with them. i did rotate the rims same side front to back and the vibrating stopped, but i dont get it because the shop said the balancing on the front was perfect when they checked it??

should i get poly-carbon or metal hubcentric rings??

Are you sure your alignment problems aren't just from the crown in the road? I was rolling around today, interestingly enough in Solon and Chagrin Falls, and I noticed the same thing on my perfectly aligned car. None of the roads are flat up here (and none of them are smooth either, stupid Cleveland winter). Worst case, try switching the two front tires. This happened last week on my girlfriend's car - we had it aligned, and it still pulled left. Turns out the tires had worn slightly due to the bad alignment, pulling the car back to the left even when perfectly aligned. The two front tires were switched, it's straight as an arrow now. Give that a shot before you go blowing more money or time, it might help you out.

the tires are directional, so i can only change them front to back. and i have a warrenty on my alignment that i can get it aligned as many times as i want in the next 6 months for free. i dont know about the roads though because i have tried on every single road and it still pulls the same direction.

Make sure your tires pressure is at the correct psi, cause a little low psi can make your alignment go off, its probaly shaking cause your wheels are not balance so therfore it would shake, but if its not that, the guy does not know what he doing make sure hes doing each wheel at a time and make sure he is aligning it right on the sensor where it should be i work at tire king also so yeah

the tire pressure was about 8-10 psi short when i was getting the alignments, but i filled it up since then. there was still shaking even when filled up till i rotated tired front to back.

does anyone know yet what kind of hubcentric rings i should get, polycarbon or metal?

well if its not your rims and your alignment is str8, then im guess that maybe your tie rod is loose or your wheel bearing is mess up that could cause shaking when going high speed, jack up up your front and shake the two front tires left to right to see if its loose, and if its loose and your wheels are tight then its your bearings go away, i would sugg metal rings.

Try rotating the tires front to back if you can't swap the front two. If you're going to jack the car up to check the wheel bearings anyway, it's worth a shot while it's up in the air.
