I got bored so I thought I would do something, and what popped into my mind was to make the rear parking light come on with the rear turn signal. I haven’t seen anyone done this before so I thought I would give it a try.
Stuff you’ll need:
- Flat head screw driver
- Wire taps (Home Depot or Radio Shack sells them, but Home Depot has more in quantity and it's about the same price)
- Electrical Tape or Duct Tape
- Scissors
- Pliers
- Crimp-On Quick-Disconnects *FEMALE* (I used ring terminals since I had it on hand, best to used the Crimp-On Quick-Disconnects *FEMALE*)

- A good enough roll of Wire

This is where you use the flat head screw driver to release the screw so you could access the turn signal wires and the parking light connecter within.

This is the ring terminal that I modified to fit onto the prongs of the parking light connecter. It would be better to use Crimp-On Quick-Disconnects *FEMALE* since that prongs on the parking light connecter are really skinny.

As you can see, this is where I connected the modified ring terminals into the prongs. Make sure that they are in tight.

At this point I connected two wires for each Ring Terminal/ Crimp-On Quick-Disconnects *FEMALE*. Make sure to cover up any exposed wire with electrical tape or duct tape (I used clear duct tape since I had it in hand and it's strong)

Now you need to disconnect the turn signal plug. Green I think is power and black is ground, but it doesn't matter since the positive and negative on the bulb would still work even if it was flipped around. But if you are using LED bulbs then you will need to wire the Positive-to-Positive and Negative-to-Negative.

Here is where I used my vise grip's to clamp the wire taps into place.

In red shows where your work area is. Above left show the turn signal plug, and the above right is where the parking light connecter is. After everything is hooked up and running, put everything back in place and your done.

Before: This is how it looked when only one turn signal was on.

After: This is how it looks with the turn signal and parking light on.
Enjoy!

Haha. I bet it would look weird, since there's already two lights back there. I f I had a coupe I'd be at the hardware store getting parts right now.

I've actually seen an older civic with this mod, except the turn signals were yellow when they were on. Looked cool.
I think someone here switched the parking and turn signal completely, so the horseshoe shape only comes on with the signal.

But I did this mod cause I thought it would be cool to have that parking lights as sorta like a side marker or something. And like ThsUserNmIsDumb said it does kinda make it safer when turning
