Need Help. Ignition Problems
Well, as I said. I tried installing my Greddy E-Manage System. Was almost finised too!!! I hooked up the ignition harnesses and all went to hell. I tried a coule of different combinations as stated in other threads. None worked. I have now hooked everything back to stock ignition. Still nothing. I have checked all of the fuses and none seem to be blown. Any Ideas?
I have a weird answer but if all fail. Most Hondas and Acura have immobilizer and some alarm systems also have this feature. One common problem is that they use a wire that is connected to a fuel pump and it is very sensitive to ignition tampering.
When you try to start the car did any of the lights on the dash turn on? If yes then you have a problem on primary side of the ignition system. That will be your ECM, coil assembly and spark plug.
If no lights then check the battery, fuse and ground wires. There is a ground wire that is connected to your engine block if that disconnected then you will not have a spark. On our cars any ignition problem will register on the ECM.

yeah I'm getting lights in the dash. The ground is still connected. I've run a light tester on the coupling that connects to the spark plug, i.e. the brown ignition wire from the ECU to the coupling. I'm not getting a light. I'm thinking I've probably fried the ECU... GODDDDD I HOPE NOT!

Before you fck up your car more - READ MY POSTS about the emanage.....If you don't set it up right you'll blow your ignition fuses left and right. Thank god honda was SMART enough to put a fuse in their to begin with (Evo 8 doesn't use a fuse - there have been a lot of folks with evo's burning out coil packs due to this).
