Exclamation New Front Seats 03 Honda EX

Alright, I am looking into buying some new front seats for my 03 Honda EX Coupe, only problem is that I have side airbags on the current seats. The 02 Si Hatchback has non-branded Recaro's from what I hear, and I really like their red stitching and suede components, plus the bolstering is about twenty times better than mine. I can get a pair of the Si seats for about $150, only problem is that I don't know if it is possible to keep my side airbags...any help would be great thanks...

Kloverz has a little shameless behaviour in the past
you want to keep ur side air bags, well then just keep the original seats, i dont believe that the si seats come with side airbags i could be wrong tho, i would change my civic seats in a flash for SI seats or RSX,

If the seats don't come with the side air bags you should be able to take the airbags from the civic and install them on the si seats

I can get them from a friend who is selling his from his Si because he bought some new Sparcos and put them in, he's not very bright...but there is also a forum, for people that have totaled their Si's and want to sell their parts for cheap, let me ask my friend about it and I'll get back to you guys...

Its mostly all about luck...if you go to www.ep3hatch.com and look hard enoughthrough their vendor section, you can usually find someone that has totaled their car, and is selling parts (including seats)...good luck...

$150 is VERY cheap for those seats.
Seats goes $550+ easily on ebay for pair.
Some Si seats come with side airbags. Its option.
Seats will sit about 1" higher than the OEM's on the coupe and a bit more on the sedan.
Harness will plug in perfectly.
XTREME2K2CIVIC has RSX seats. PM him about sidebag issues.
I am sure its possible to do sidebag swap.

I would like SI seats too, but this is the first I have heard that will sit 1" higher than mine, is that 1" higher on the butt, or on the headrest?

I am 6'0", and I am already rubbing the roof sometimes, depending on hairstyle (up or down).

If I get some SI seats, will my noggin be bumpin?

Make custom mounting brackets for your seat. with a little work you should be able to drop them down an inch or two.

Has anyone ever tried this "custom lowering bracket" on this site before, and if, please share, it's a jungle down there.
