San Diego Alarm Install

Hey guys, i plan on getting the compustar top o the line alarm system for my car...i was wondering whether or not there's a specialized place to install it. I know it requires some "special" attention, and most places won't know what to do. Anyone got recommendations?
thnx

I doubt anyone is going to help you...A while ago I posted and ask if anyone knows where I could find shops that does side markers in San Diego or L.A and no one replied at all... Any stereo shops or places like circuit city might be able to help you. If they can't take care of it they would rather choose not to install for you. However, if they could, then they would have to be fully responsible for installation. Hope this helps a little bit.

im not sure about ur area, you should take it to a local sterio place, they should all be able to install it correctly. if its not installed, they have to fix it for you. ask ur friends where they got their ish installed. i wouldn't take it to circut city, they take too long and they will charge you too much, you should look around for prices also

well, i don't have any experience with any audio shops around here, but when i was looking around the net for a place to do a tint, i found this place "johnny's audio" or something. anyway, it's a member of the better business bureau--oh hey, i just found this:
http://www.sandiego.bbb.org/commonro....html?tob=0160

you might want to call around and see which one has the best price...
hope that helps. oh yeah, and since we're asking about places in san diego, i wanted to know if there are any cheap places to get my windows tinted. not TOO cheap......but JUST enough so that it has a lifetime warranty

my hook up at al and eds can probably do it. he did my family's car and he knew exactly how to reprogram my remote start cuz i bypassed my clutch so that the brain will think my manual is an auto. this guy has been installing for like 15 years plus... maybe more. i'll probably head over there to get a quote for my friend cuz he's getting the matrix 3.5. let me know if you want me to find out from him.

as for the vic.... you might need to pay more $$$ to bypass the immobilizer if you're going to do a remote start on your car.

I would take it to Al & Ed's they usually have good installers there. But be ready to spend some money to get that installed especially that you didn't buy it from them.

but good thing i have my hook up there. i've known the guy for 5-6 years and he hooks me up with parts at ebay price but with al and ed's warranty. last summer, my friend got the alpine 9815 for $365. i get hook ups on parts, but not labor. but the good thing is that i know the installers and i know he's not some amateur high school kid. plus i can watch him install if i want and chat with him while he installs. hook ups are always good.

chocobo15, here is my advice

find a friend that u trust to do the installation

almost every installation places install all the alarm items to the common places. this is why it is so easy for people to jack cars, since they already pretty much know where everything is

also, a lot of the people that work at those place can be crooks, since they want to have ur address and **** for their "record." i never give anyone my address away when it has to do with my car

i'm going to be installing a fuel cutoff switch when i have some time after finals week. so find a friend that you trust and plan out where you want all the items to be hidden in the car

sorry i couldn't be more specific with the terminology since i don't know what u call the cpu and such for alarms

yup, that's why you're supposed to hide the brain and siren and not have it installed under the driver's kick panel.

btw, i'm in orange county.
