... wow, I haven't posted in months - anyways....

I have an `03 Civic EX, it has a little over 24k on it and running good. Everytime my Maintence Required light comes on I am always able to reset it myself (by holding the button, waiting, etc...) for some reason this time when it came on that trick didn't work. Can something actually be wrong (if so wouldn't the Check Engine light come on?)? Ideas?

mine has been blinking for a long time when i first turn my car on and then goes off after about a minute? i dont know what it means. and no its not just flashing like its supposed to do when you turn it on, it stays on longer than its supposed to. not trying to take away from your post obtix.

Ya mine flashes for like 10 seconds after i start the car. Wont go away i tried that trip button reset procedure still didnt work

I think it means that that you need to take it in to the dealers, and have them charge you like 100 dollars for them to turn it off.. it just comes on to tell you to take it to the dealers so they can run a system check to see if your car is still ok.. i think it lights up at like at 10k miles or 2 years of owning the car. and i dont know if there is a trick to turn it off.. unless you go to the dealer/mech. to get it shut off.

Well for the rest of you:

My "Main't Req" (Maintenance Required) light blinks / is constantly on?
Push the trip odometer reset, turn the key until the dash lights all come on (don't start it)
Hold it until the Maint Reqd. Light shuts off.
Turn the key off and take your finger off the button.
