not it does not matter. If you are in colder weather, stick to lighter oils. If in variable weather, you might want to look into 5w30 or 10w30. If running turbo, you need thicker oil. I mean you can run 0w-30 and be fine.

I run amsoil 0w-30 in my civic. OEM Filter with an oil cooler and a moroso 3qt oil accumulator. Total capacity is about 8qt. Honestly, a 5w20 is a waste of time trying to find, run a 5w30 because you can get it, or order alot in bulk for cheap. Oil change is about $80.

If I may add to the discussion.
I was, to some degree, reluectant to use 5-20 oils but I've seen enough used oil analysis to come to the conclusion that these oils are worthy of use.
Remember that this weight is recommended by Ford in heavy duty, hauling V-8s and V-10s which are putting a lot of strain on motors. The UOAs show that these thinner oils are doing very well and aren't breaking down. The Honda engines are running at higher RPMs but hauling a heavy horse trailer up and down mountains hasn't broken the 5-20 oils.
I think that the manufacturers know that 5-20 is thin and because of this, they add a very robust additive package that more than makes up for the lighter weight. Honda seems to have taken the approach that quicker flowing, but thinner oil, is better than thicker oil that doesn't circulate as fast.
Most oils shear down with use within relatively few miles but the 5-20 oils contain such a hearty additive package that they remain solidly within grade. Even Mobil 1 5-30 shears down to a 25 type oil but their 0-20 stays a 20; it doesn't turn into a 15W oil.
If you're running all out with NOS and hit redline all the time then I'd recommend a good 5-30 such as Redline, Amsoil, RP, Germal Castrol, M1 or perhaps even the new M1R.
Me? I'm running Germal Castrol in my Exploder and I have a brand new case of Redline 5-20 that goes in the Civic.
