Need your opinion. What should I do?
I sold my aero kit and the guy is not happy. I sold it as a used kit and sent him pics of it before he bought it. I also told him it had normal road use. He just got it and is pissed! He said I didn't describe it well, he said that I didnt tell him about the scratches, I thought it was "normal wear" he doesn't. It wasthe Honda Aero Kit and I got it new for $1000 shipped. I sold it to him for $450 shipped. It costed me $200 to send it to California from Maryland. So, I sold a $1000 kit for essentially $250 cause thats all that was left after shipping. He had the nerve to email me and complain. Yes, it is used and yes I drove the car every day, how new could it look when he got it. Anyway, he wants a refund and I already lost so much I want to help him but cant afford anymore. What should I do?

Ill tell you what if you posted thats its normal wear you had describe it already how normal can it get, its not like you put the kit on ur car and never drove it , people have to understand that a drop car like ours plus with a body kit will scracth one day. if I was you the transaction went thro already I would do a refund for ****. Plus you said you show him pic that already too much. so dont do the refund hell no. But then again you can get it back sell it for more?
It sounds like u did all u could to make the buyer aware of what he is gettin. Try to calm him down and tell him ur sorry but that u cant give him a refund because he knew what he was gettin in to when u sold it to him. "normal wear" couldve been anything. If he was skeptical he couldve ask for more pictures. Its his fault.

This is the actual email i sent to him:
Hey Clint,
I just received the aero lip kit today, and I feel that have been mislead by your descriptions. You told me that there were only two major parts of imperfection. This is the crack in the front lip, and the single scratch on the back. I expected a single slit crack, but I was not notified about the huge chunck missing from the front lip. Also, one of the brackets was torn off. This is faulty. The front lip also contains many drilled holes, that were not supposed to be there. These holes are not holes that the lip has originally come in. I was not informed on this as well.
Also, the sideskirts were described to me in a "perfect" condition, which was the reason you didnt send me the pictures. The sideskirts you sent me were far from perfect. One sideskirt contains more scratches than the total amount of scratches on my car. When you meant perfect, I expected close to "new" or near new condition, but there were numerous deep scratches on them. Also, one of the sideskirts contians a faulty bracket, where it is bent.
The rear lip as well contians many scratches. When you sent me the picture of the one scratch on the rear lip, I asked you if that was all that was damaged on the lip, and if the rest was dirt. You told me that it was dirt and it would all wash off. There are so many deep scratches that you did not inform me about.
I am very disappointed with the condition the paint is in. You said "The paint is in overall good shape" (quoted from a previous email). But it is far from that. All the scratches are very visible. Also, I asked you if there were any scrapes. You said "I dont believe that any is scraped" and there are many visible scrapes.
Overall, I am very dissatisfied with all the misinformations that you have provided me with. You described to me a lip kit that would be presentable, and something that I wouldnt need to repaint.
What I am trying to ask if I can please have a refund on this lip kit. Since I originally paid 350 for this lip kit, and 100 for shipping, and that you also matched another 100 for shipping, the original shipping would cancel out. So my request for you is to refund me 350 + half of the cost for shipping the lip kit back to you. Im assuming that fed-ex would charge about 100 for shipping (I think they are cheaper than ups, and usps). The total refund would be 400 dollars. This way, we would both lose the same amount of money in this deal (both lose 150). I am begging that you would accept this becuase I feel that I have been greatly misinformed about your product. Let me know what's up.

I told you it was used, you couldnt expect it to be new. The kit was in good shape when I sent it. The "chunk" is under the car so you'll never see it. The bracket that was there isn't needed. I had it that way for a couple months before I took the kit off to get new bumpers and paint. I would have kept it if I knew it would be this much trouble. I even told you a shop told me it would be $65 to fix the front.

I knew it was used, but the way you described it, it seems like it wasn't badly scratched and damaged at all, but in actuality, it was 10x worse.
Also, I'm sorry if I have offended you in that email. You said i was "pissed" when in reality, I tried my best to calmly ask for a refund. It's not like I used vulger language or anything.

JCivc03, i know how u r feeling. It seems obvious that u r misinformed. But this is a problem between u and Hondasport that no one can solve because it is up to u two. Hondasport doesnt hav to give u anything. BUt if he wants to be a good, moral person, he will try and settle the dispute as will u in a appropriate manner.
