Fuel tank = Upside down Triangle
Ok, I know it isn't just because of winter because I noticed it in summer, but now that it's winter.. I notice it more just because of the greater fuel consumption. Anyways, it seems like our fuel tanks are an upside down triangle. I fill up, then it stays on F, stays on F, stays on F, then it drops after a couple days, then once I get to about 5/8th of a tank, it's gone after like, 2 days.. but it takes like a week to get down that far. Does anybody else notice this or am I not with it for the first week?
EDIT: Maybe I was supposed to post this in Member's Rides.. ??

Yep, same here, I especially notice it now that the cold snap is here to stay... Maybe it's just because my car is new, and is still on the factory oil, but my fuel economy is nowhere near what the Civic was. I mean, it isn't that much worse, but it just seems to be guzzling up the gas moreso than the Civic, it's probably just because it's on the factory oil...
I have to fill up at least once a week, but it's more like every 5 days, I do a lot of driving... It takes a while to get to half, but from then on it doesn't take too long to get to E...

hehe its eazy i own a 2001 with not even 19,000 miles on it
my fill up times range from 3 weeks (summer driving/crusing) to 1-2 months and most of the time i go fill my car up when it hits half tank only

same here. no idea why it happens, but it bugs me out. im all happy when i drive 50 - 60 miles and the needle moves 1 notch, and then im thinking i can actually get 300 miles to a tank, and then i hit 130 - 150 at halfpoint and then the needle just drops. i usually get 220-230 at like a 1/4 of a tank...and i wait for 260 or so to refil if i can, but damn, that guage is so useless!!
i really dont feel i ever know how much gas is in there. i just use it for the F and E, everything in between is useless.

I have about a 100 dollar a month gas bill.. I fill up anywhere between 3 days to 5 days.. The longest I've gone without filling up is 7 days and that's because I didn't drive it for 2. It costs me about 15-18 dollars to fill my tank.
Even once every 7 days would be a miracle.. (but I also dog the heck outta my car) So it all goes hand in hand..
