hayame question
Aite, instead of posting in that long thread, I decided to post here for the ease of those who can answer my question.
I just got the hayame's today, and on the 2 rear shocks, there was a rubber ring sitting on the top, not mounted to anything...what do i do with those? just leave them as they are? do they just serve as a barrier between the top perch and the car body?
Thanks in advance

eh you should know what he meant.. tie rod...
Thats your problem right there, your using a rubber mallot. rubber gives.. it gives alot.. try using a regular hammer. You can always rent a tie rod seperator for free at autozone but those tend to rip the tie rod boots
if you need to use more force to hammer that bolt out, a trick that will prevent the bolt from warping is to hold a thick piece of soft wood underneath the bolt. Rather than hitting the bolt directly, hammer up on the wood. This will reduce the force being put on the end of the bolt. You could also put that 17mm tie rod nut near the end of the bolt as another precaution to protect the threads.
