a friend of mine that supervises at a millwork operation has given me 20 full sheets of 3/4" MDF for free. only thing is, i had to store half of it at my grandparents cause i ran out of room if i were to still have some workspace in my shop here. you think i could try and return it to owes or something? it has no barcodes on it or anything, and nothing is wrong with it. or, should i keep it, and make a bunch of boxes and trunk floors and sell them? would it be worth the money you think? i have use for 3 or 4 sheets in my car, but the others i don't think i'll use any time soon. what should i do?

See if anyone else from the dirrty south would like to buy it. Sell it to your friends that may be building their own boxes. Of course you could give them a discount off of what it would usually be. Just tell them you bought it dirt cheap (don't tell them you got it free) otherwise they will want it free as well.

if you have the time and equipment, build some raw boxes to sell. you could have ppl tell you what airspace they need and you could build it.

for those whod like to copy this, check your local university AERO department, they use MDF to make fiberglass molds, and you can often find scraps 1-2 times a quarter outside their dumpsters.

btw, he called today and asked if i needed more... i asked him if he could get me some pieces they had cut from, like half sheets and stuff, originally. he brings me 20 full sheets, brand new. he pulls up and is like "here's your mdf" and dumps it... he then laughs, gets in the truck and leaves... i had t move it all myself, luckily i got done before it rained the next morning...
