Check it out. New law this year in Cali. The rest of the states probably aren't far behind.

The new bill bars drivers from operating televisions and video screens in their line of vision while the vehicle is moving but allows the use of mapping and some other devices.
"They don't want people out there driving and watching television, and they want to provide exceptions for law-abiding citizens who want to use their technology," said California Highway Patrol Officer Steve Kinoshita, who works in the agency's legislative unit.
One of the key changes in the law is to clarify that drivers can use dealer-installed and other navigational devices, such as Global Positioning Systems.

hasnt anyone ever noticed the play in their ebrake? its so easy to pull the lever up just a tiny tiny tiny bit to ping the wire but not activate the brake.
then a cop pulls you over and you say oh no, officer, its tied into my ebrake, you must have been mistaken, see? *pulls ebrake up* *drops ebrake down*

im being dead serious, actually. I discovered it on one of my long drives on the highway. try it sometime, pull it up not high enough to make it click, youll see the brake dummy light turn on on the dash. thats all you need to make the screen work!

Meh... I just hope that I can prove to the insurance company that the fool that rearended me was A) On the cellphone not paying attention, or B) watching DVD's not paying attention. I cross my fingers everytime I get on the freeway.
