Question amp remote wire ? (Audio peeps please help)

What wire do I hook up my amp remote wire too? What color is it??? I hooked up the system last nite, wverything works perfect except I hooked the remote wire to the power wire on the radio and the amp doesn't turn off with the radio??????????? Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllppp Me!

the wire should be blue and it should hook up to remote amp turnon or accesory the remote amp wire should be blue and the accessory orange hope that helps

Exactly what bigainabuilt said.......it will be blue and there should be a wire off the harness that it will hook up to.....you might either have to solder it together or clip it together, regardless it will be there and it will be blue......i've hooked up about six systems for myself and my buddies and i have never seen one that hasnt been blue

yeah, but what color is the wire on the wire harness in the back of our stock radios that i connect the blue rem wire too??? There is no blue wire in the wire harness for the 2k1 stock radio.

ahhh, since you are using the stock radio, you need to tap the igniton wire, or the cig lighter + wire. Another option is using a toggle switch.

I hate toggle switches, i'll forget..........anyway, I guess I'll put it on the cigarette (+) wire........are you sure this will work?

yeah, ciggarette lighter is on accessory (at least in my car) or you can tap ACC rather than constant. the amp will be on as long as the car is on, but will shut off with the car, not the radio.

standard shop installation on a stock radio.

be carfull i had some subs hooked up and the idiot at the shop hooked up the remote wrong and everytime i turned off my radio the subs went full blast. Scared the **** out of the honda mechanic
