Question Battery About to Die?

Hey everyone, I have a 2k1 civic and I still have the stock battery. I have my Alpine CDA-7893 HU, HiFonics ZX6000, Alpine M300, and Alpine XM Reciever connected to my stock battery. Lately I have noticed that when I turn on my car, it takes it a llittle longer for the engine to crank. For some reason I think it is the battery going bad. Does this sound like a battery problem to you? I am beginning to think that running all this equipment off my stock battery is slowly deteriorating its life. If this is what it sounds like, what type of battery would you all recommend for a new battery? Thanks.

Sounds similiar to what happens when u drain your battery w/o the engine on. after i installed all my sound stuff i put in a grounding kit, like the one in the DIY section. Actually helps, the engine seems to crank faster and music is clearer. MAybe something you should look into, could help.

do what vinnie sais(cant hurt) and if u are worried about taking too much power from the battery just get a cap. it will store power and takes stress off the charging system. hard starting is sometimes a sighn of a batt going out but there are a million reasons it is starting hard though. u never know hope i helped

A cap won't help that problem, all it will do is reduce headlight dimming, and could in some cases make his problem worse. There ARE lot's of reasons why that could be happening, but it should be fixable by replacing the battery. If you look, there are a couple threads recently on batteries, so read up in those and make your decision that way.

but you never really know when a battery will die. yours could last many more months or years still. get it tested if you want

If I go to autozone or something, they will be able to tell me if the battery is going bad? I just looked at the ground DIY and I honestly don't see a point in grounding it in so many spots. I would think that just grounding it to the tranny would be enought in itself. I really wouldn't want all those wires spread throughout my engine bay. If I get a new yellow top battery, would that make a difference?
