Gauge vent mount DIY?

Gauge vent mount DIY? Anyone have a DIY for mounting a guage in the driver vent? Ive seen a couple ppl do this DIY but i havent been able to find out how its done. What kind of material is surrounding the gauge? Any info will help. thx

Just stumbled on this thread. The newer cd cases are way too brittle. I went through about 10 cases before giving up. They would always break. Use blockbuster video rental covers if you want strong, matching plastic.

Rep Power: 513 civicvtec1ps - do you still have the piece you used in your old civic to mount in the the vent? i would buy it off of you if you still had it.

I used tape to put it together, this shouldnt have any problem to put it on..made to put 2 1/16" gauges.
