already searched...remove rear emblem...paint...re-install
Could someone please tell me how to remove my rear H from my trunk without breaking it? I would like to remove it, paint it flat black, and then re-install it.
I already did a search.
Thanks!

there is a spray u can get to take adhesive off, if it has adhesive on it, then spray it, and use string, or floss, to slide it through. then bondo will fill the holes, i believe, like that thread i linked. i dont know how it will break it.
ya you just pop them out from inside the trunk. there are little fasteners in the trunk holging the backside. i'm not sure of any glue though. havnt taken it off mine. just push firmly from the inside
dont worry about breaking it .. its barely held on with soem glue ... just pop it off and You'll be fine! (My friends are those ****ers who jack emblems) then when you wanna put it back on a dab of adhesive
Stoopid Noob, search!
Hah just playing, I was going to paint mine black too but replaced it with a silver on carbon fiber emblem, looks tight I think, but it was real easy to get the original one off and hard to break it unless your careless.

nice.....thanks.
I'm still going to go for the black paint. Because I'm also doing the front H in black. I'm not a fan of any sort of badging.
The best was when we had our 00 Teg Type R and had all the badging off of it and kids would be like, "is that a real Type R??" or "is that a real Mugen wing?" Oh yeah kids, I wasted ALL my money on doing a 5 lug conversion, buying itr wheels, stamping the Mugen in the side of the spoiler, etc.
Anyway, as I'm rambling on.... thanks! I'll be sure to kick myself if I break this thing then, since I've had enough responses to not worry.
