just hit 40k... what should i service
just hit 40k miles, feel like i should do some fixups to the engine.
ive got knowledge on the basics of thermodynamics and like how to take engines apart nad how to do maintenance things, i just have no knowledge when to do the servicing and stuff.
so far on teh list i got :
oil & filter
air filter
at fluid
top off other fluids.
anything else i should do?
i got new brake bads at like 30k so those should be fine.

Rep Power: 0 one thing the guy told me at Honda was that at 30k they do something with ur valves like rotate them or something but he said the service would cost $260 to do it!

thats all those damn honda dealers are about.. selling their crap service to you that doesn't do anything.

Sounds like you have everything listed already. Maybe check the tire pressure and alignment? Those honda service packs are such a rip. I know people who get them done all the time and pay over $100 just for an oil change and checking a few things.

I went to honda and got the 40k service. Its a $500 job. They adjust the valves and a whole bunch of other things. Go to honda and ask for a 2001-2003 service booklet. It will say everything honda does for 10k through 80k services.
I can resist everything except temptation.

Anyhow, i think honda services are a complete RIP. Just my opnion. Theres not a hole lot to do at 40k. Your list looks pretty complete.
