Punch HX2 with a Punch 601S? (confused)
well i bought a RF 601S amp planning on running my two infinity refferences of it. well then I said **** it and decided to splurge on new subs also, so I bought two 12" Punch HX2's. My question is (I have yet to receive them so I wanna ask before I install) the subs are 4-ohm each and the amp list 300wrms @ 2ohm, so if I were to wire them normal (+ to +, - to - on each channel) wouldnt that make it so the speakers were 4-ohm? so how many watts will I be delivering to each sub? I know I could wire them in a 2-ohm bridge mode, but I sorta like the stereo effect in a 4ohm mode. right now I have my infinty refferences wired in 2ohm and when I turn the volme up it sounds like someone is just thumping or banging on my trunk floor! Is this the kind of bass people preffer? Sorry if this sounds confusing, I am not a newbie but there is still lots that I could learn.
Thanks for the replys.

That combination of amp an speakers will work fine.
Each speaker is 4 ohm DVC, so wire the coils in parallel inside the box. That makes each speaker act as a 2 ohm one.
Then just hook up each to one channel on the amp.
You will end up w/ 300 RMS to each sub.

Any ways, can some one post a diagram of what regular joe ment by wiring them in parallel inside the box to give them a 2 ohm load. If I brigde them, the jl site says that I will dual 4ohm into 1.5 ohms?
Is there an advantage to using both voice coils or am I fine with just one.
A diagram or link to the actual page will help alot, this is the first time I am dealing with DVC subs.
Thanks
check the link in my post. but since u missed it the fist time..here it is again

I guess what has me confused is what to do after I wire them in parallel inside the box, how do I wire them from the box to the amp. Because I am only going to be using one + from speaker terminal from one side the box and the - speaker terminal from the other side of the box.

this page is confusing. What are the speaker wires leading to, the box speaker terminal or one chanel of the amp?

Run the amp in stereo.
Inside the box hook up both (+) side of the coils to the (+), likewise for both the (-). Do this for both speakers in the box. Then run a single wire from the box to each half of the amp.
