Bosch Wiper Blade Review

Ok so it's been 2 years since I got my car and my wipers are shot! So I needed to get some. And since I cannot justy $41 for PIAA Silicone blades,I went to auto zone and got the Bosch Micro edge blades $18! 21" Driver and 19" Passenger.

First I tried just removing the old wiper assembly, but I cannot figure it out =(,So I simply take out the old blades and dissamble the new blades off the new bosch assembly. The bosch blades fit right in and are nice and tight. They feature a single metal support throught out the center, unlike the OEM that have 2 on either side.So how do they work? AMAZING! they are a huge improvement over OEM,They are very sharp and clear off all the water with ease, and with no chatter when the windshield is quite wet enough.Well worth the $18!

Time to instal: 20min

WAIT!! They are good, but not for long. . They wear out pretty fast. Granted. . at first they rock, but I've had mine for a few months now and they just stopped working like they used to. . They smear the water now instead of that nice clean 1 swipe.

They are good, but IMO not worth the money because after a short time they aren't any better than OEM. So if you wanna pay all that money for a short term improvement, than go for it, but I'm not buying them again. Just doesn't seem worth it.

were you able to remove the whole assembly though or just replace the blade?

I got the whole thing off.

It took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to get the first one off. Then the second one was smooth as silk.

I've always heard the OEM replacements are pretty good. At least they last a while.

it really depends on where your car is parked.... if ur car is parked outside most of the time..... they'll wear out a lot faster than if u park it in the garage..... the sun just bakes the crap outta them... and then snow/ice beats em up too.

even though the piaa blades are more expensive they are well worth it, i got a pair about a year ago and they are still running strong. 41 dollars does seem like alot but remember you get extacly what you pay for its more then a name.
