Question How do i do my own camber adjusting???

I was wondering if just eyeballing your tires to see if they are straight is good enough for adjusting the camber? I am getting new tires put on today and if i need to i can just get the shop to do it but it's gonna cost an arm and a leg for them to do it. any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Actually, go to ingallseng.com

They have a camber gauge that should be pretty accurate.

Eyeball? HaHa... like you can eyeball the difference between 1/2 a degree.
They sell camber gauges all over the place. I don't know if AutoZoo would sell it, but maybe them or Napa sells them. They're not too expensive, its just a bubble level or an indicator needle. Just make sure the car is on flat LEVEL ground when you do it, or you'll be all screwed up. Its a little bit of a pain in the *** since you have to keep jacking up and removing the tire to adjust it then putting it back on and dropping it to check it. Its only like $50 for an alignment and you only gotta do it once provided you don't hit anything... its probably worth saving the trouble.

If you do this with out setting your toe , be ready for very bad tire wear! Camber is a tire wearing and handling angle, but if you dont set toe too your asking for trouble. Setting your camber with a cheap gauge is ok if your doing it at home so you can drive it to an alignment shop to have it set correctly, but i dont recomend setting it that way and not having it checked with a real alignment machine.
