1.5 inch drop, do I need Camber kits?
I've had my car lowered with Nitto 215/35/18s for a couple years now (18,000 miles) and the wear on the tires haven't been bad but I recently found small bubbles forming on every tire. Some are on the outside and some inside but they are all near the rim. I didn't think a inch and a half drop would call for camber but I wanted to see what everyone else thought. And if I should get a kit any suggestions on brand or site.
Thanks
Thanks
personally, i went on the safe side and got a camber kit. i have an SPC camber kit for the front and back.
im not exactly sure how much im lowered....im as low as i can go on my Tein SS if that tells you anything.
tires are f-ing expensive- might as well put a camber kit on and make them last as long as possible.

you never NEED a camber kit but if you want your tires to last then you should get one. Racers run with negative camber because it helps turning, but also increases tire wear.
SPC or ingalls. if you get spc get it from a member her named danscreations.

If you dont mind tire wear or possible handling issues, NO you dont EVER need a camber kit. But on the other hand if you value your hard earned $$$ do the camber kit IF it's out of spec. As for the bubbles on the outside of the tire? Thats a possible safety issue. Do the bubbles look simialr to this?
Or sometimes they will balloon out about the size of a nickle or so.

CAUSE: WHEEL FLANGE COMPRESSING AGAINST THE TYRE INTERIOR. SUBSEQUENTLY THE CARCASS CORDS AND / OR INNER LINER ARE DAMAGED.
Due to their low sidewall heights, low profile tyres are more susceptible to damage caused by rim crush. The increasing popularity of tyres with profiles of 55 and lower may mean that tyre dealers see more tyres with damage caused by rim crush. Long periods of rain, which cause roads to break-up usually increases the incidence of rim crush damage.
Rim crush damage will produce a bulge or bubble, as shown in diagram 2.
The sidewall bulge is often the only external evidence of rim crush damage.

you should be able to adjust the camber enough without buying an aftermarket kit.
