uniwiper diy?
hey guys......i just wana ask yall for ur opinion about uniwipers....i didnt know what subject this thread fell into so i just posted it here....well what do yall think of uniwipers??? ricey or not????? and is there a way to do it ur self???? ive always thought they were neat but never thought of having one on my car.......where do they sell these at by the way???? is there mods involved.....thanx yall
k lets see here...they come on lambos (round 400-500 horsepower) and they DON'T on civics (stock 127 horsepower)...with 400-500 horsepower u can get away with anything u put on it but not with the civic (hell u can put some gold spoke rims on a lambo and get away with it)...in other words...SERIOUS RICE (Although I had it on my accord 4 years back). Leave the "uniwiper" to the Benz guys...if u want a "uniwiper" buy a Benz...if u wanna be funny...put it on your Civic...just remember the joke is on u.

yea they are right thats back in the 90's, it will not look good on the vic, but if you really want to go ahead and do I believe all you do is take out the nuts for the wiper on the driver side and remove it, then loosen the passenger wiper and move it up and align it till you see it will swing to your side to clear of any water if raining. This is what my boy did back in 97 on his geo metro...lol but hey its on you....

this is what you do!!!
1) take off the driver side windshield wiper!
2) get a longer passenger side wiper.
3) unscrew the bolt that's holding the passenger side wiper in place and adjust the wiper so that it sits at about a 45 degree angle ( maybe less or more however you want it) on the windshield and then rescrew the bolt down that's hold ing the wiper down and taa daaa you got a uniwiper! even though the wiper won't rest in the place where it rests stock it's gonna have to sit at about a 45 degree angle on your windshield so that it covers the driver side and passenger!!
4) sound good? don't do it though! the car just won't look right!
( by the way i'm pretty sure there's a way to get the wiper to lay down in stock position like on a mercedes or something but i think you would have to replace the whole windshield wiper motor or something so that it turns all the way)

i did it on my car and painted the wiper arm white to match my wheels and all of my other white accents. Looks good IMO, but i am gonna change it back.
Do what Mr.Modify said, but I stuck with the factory wiper, no need for a longer one.
P.S. Cops don't like them either, expect a fine.
