Due to the fact that we are dealing with proprietary information, we dont publicly "post" spring rates. However, if your interested, please feel free to contact us via email, or by phone, and we can disclose the spring rates.

I don't see how thats proprietary at all. Its a numeric specification. Its something that if I wanted to I could put it in a test cell, compress it with a given load, measure the displacement and solve for it .... then post it all over the internet and it would get out anyway. How do you expect to sell it to anyone as a "competition" spring if you can't say how stiff it is? Spoon, Mugen, JIC, Tein, Buddy Club, Apexi, RS*R and Toda all publicly state the spring rates. Its information anyone who is actually going to race the car is going to want to know, and shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get. I don't see how thats something so secretive, it isn't like you can patent a given spring rate.

I hate jumping through hoops just for something that can be tested and figured out in a spring dyno. whats worse then not posting the spring rates..... Posting the % stronger then stock. Thats just as useless only more annoying. Personally I wont even consider a spring if I dont know the rate. But thats just me.

OoO nice.. just what neuspeed needed, some competition because ya goldlines were a little too soft for some people. just wondering why havnt you guys released a lower spring than 1.75"? doesnt goldline normally make a "sport" and a "race" version?

I never stated the spring rates are "exclusive" to Gold Line. I stated they are "proprietary"(check the definition of "proprietary"). Look, I didn't post a message to get into an argument with anyone. I'm simply stating that we are now offering a competition type spring kit for the 01 Civic Coupe. If anyone's interested, please dont hesitate in calling or dropping us an email. I would hardly consider that "jumping through hoops", as you stated.
I can say this, most of the people on this board are familliar with our current kit (GPS-0106). The new kit features spring rates which are 25% stiffer than the GPS-0106. As Aalways, if anyone has any questions, please let me knwo.

Jeff

Re: "sport" and a "race" version
Hello VNlilMAN,
On certain applications we do. However, weve found that we(the Civic Owners) really run into suspension travel issues when going past 1.75" drop. Not to say that it's not being done, it's just not ideal from a handling/ride quality standpoint. There are many companies offering a drop lower than ours. However, you tend not to have good overall ride quality characteristics when the vehicle is so low. We try to find the sweet spot between looks & ride quality/performance. There's no doubt that were not going to please everyone, we just want the vehicle to yield acceptable ride quality after the car has been lowered.

nicely put... ya i have to agree anything below 2" is kinda too low(for our suspension, not for our tastes
). our struts up front are so short you have problems bottoming out even with stiff springs. you can only make springs so stiff.
I have realized that its going to be hard to have a drop lower than 2" with a good ride. We will probably have to get shorter struts mainly. hopefully my new suspension will do that.

i've learned stock shocks with neuspeed race and 18s SUCK. looks nice but ride isnt great at all. even worse i didnt even cut the bumpstops up front so i bottom out alot.
my friend is running 50s with his race and the ride isnt too badd but with 40s it sucks.
dont get me wrong i still prefer my race over my sports cause i love the looks but i dont think alot of people would like how it rides on stock shocks...
