I just got back from Toronto and got pulled over in upstate NY..Stafford to be exact and the ticket dosent show any fine amount and any clear instructions. Do I just mail it in and recieve a fine in the mail and would points carry over here ?

how fast were u going and what was the limit?

if u were 86 in a 55 .. ur going to court..

otherwise i can tell you its :

90- plus 30 surcharge for doing like 20-30 over the posted limit.

well dayum......you probably hating it right now not know wtf is going on....i mean like they didnt write a fine on the ticket ....you lucky you wasnt in south cakkylakky ....they probably would of locked you up!

yes... I got close to 1500$ for it too, my car is 100% new! and now i have headlight mounting brackets that Tom said i didnt need! (even though the front bumper is mainly supported on them!)

This same thing happened to me a few months ago. These are all backwoods towns that like to ticket people traveling across NY state to generate some revenue. They know you'll never travel 8 hours to their jerkwater court to fight it. They do not put fines or contact info on their tickets, you have to mail it in to the address that the cop writes out and they will send you back a bill. It'll likely be something like $90 with $35 surchage. All told you'll shell out about $125.

Sorry for bringing this thread back..better than starting another one and thanks for all teh help but likeyou guys said I got a fine with amount a week later and its 180! Anyways, it says my license would be suspended in NY if I dont pay. Now my question is would that apply only to NY or all states?

it'd probably be all states... same thing happened to me, I was on my way back from Tremblant, got pulled over an hour south of the border, ended losing the ticket by the time I got home in baltimore, then I ended up moving to texas... still no word and finally 8 months later I got the fine to pay in the mail heh just paid it and no worries
