Question blown rear shock? how do i know?

Are civic shocks gas or what? i dony think mine are blown , because they ride fine not bouncy.
but the rear left is 3/4 in. lower than the rest of the car. i just put new tenzo-r springs on about a week r two ago. b-4 that i had some cheap azz coilovers on and i couldnt even drive the damn thing for more than 1/2 mile.. i guess my ? is could this have blown out because of those coilovers after only 1 week of being on? or do the shocks just need to be charged or whatever?

You do not need to take the shocks out. If you see no fluids then you're fine.

your shocks are probably really weak, not blown. you will usually see some sort of fluid on the shocks if they were blown. What you can do to test is push on your car on that corner. It should reset it self relatively quickly. If it bounces a bit, they the shock is really weak. Also, if you are bottoming out or bouncing alot while driving, I would suggest getting new ones or Konis.

i doubt it is a bad spring. if you feel that one side is sitting lower than it is probably a bad shock. i know this doesn't occur to people but most on and off ramps from the highway are right turns, thus putting a lot of strain on the left side of your car. The lowering and your driving habits may have weaked the drivers side and especially the rear corner. If you want to stay lowered, then I suggest grabbing a set of konis from Rob at tornactive/robear.

thanks for the point!
