Talking Police escort along Queens Quay on motorcycle

Well, if you were downtown today, you'd know how bad the friggen traffic was due to the Santa Claus parade....

I needed to cross University, as I was heading east and wanted to go to the Canadian Tire @ Yonge/Church. No such friggen luck.... No way was I gonna get there.... I was going in all directions, north, south, east, west. Finally got my butt to SkyDome area, and said, screw it, I'll just head over to Loblaws @ Queens Quay/Jarvis, grab some food, and go home.

I was on Queens Quay, near York Street, and traffic was horrible. Bumper to bumper traffic, and then I hear and see sirens from behind me.... From a whole bunch of police motorcycles... There was nowhere for me to move.... all lanes were jam packed. It was kinda neat how I saw all the sirens coming towards me in my side mirrors; reminded me of Bad Boys II or something

Well, no one on the road was moving anywhere, and so the first cop rides up to the intersection, and stops. Sirens blaring, he stops and waves for his buddies behind him to advance... This goes on for about 2-3 blocks....

What I figured out was they needed to move some Canadian Tire trailers to the Santa Claus parade or something, and the only way to do it was to advance ALL traffic to where the trailers needed to go...

I could see the trailers in my rear view mirror, about 20+ cars back... (I'm guessing here)...

The cops on their motorcycles were stopping all traffic in all directions except cars going East... COOL!

As we're driving through red lights and stuff, with cops waving us to keep going, some other cop motorcycles ride on the left of me on the dedicated street car tracks to move ahead, and a few were on my right, riding in-between the lanes to advance forward.... For about 5 seconds I had a cop on his motorcycle flanked on my right side.... So sweeeeeet... I imagined I was in Bad Boys III, or some important figure with a police escort

Well, all good things must come to an end, and I had to make a left into Loblaws soon... I was going to turn, but then I see a friggen cop on his motorcycle coming up on my left fast (he's driving on the lane going opposite direction!), and so I said screw it, I'll turn at the light (there's another entrance on Jarvis St.) Well, no such luck.

Another cop at the intersection waved me to drive straight, didn't want me to hold up traffic on Jarvis, wanted those trailers to get to their destination ASAP... I drove about 1-2 mins, then did a U-turn, and got into Loblaws...

End of dream... imp:

Getting home was another nightmare... holy cow, I don't remember the last time I saw traffic as bad as today....
