Just installed my TypeR strut bars!!!!A+++
I just installed my Ebay Type-R front & rear strut bars!! They were really easy to install, it only took me about a half hour!!! Afterwards I went out to my favorite windy road, to try them out!! Holy $hit!!!! I could feel the difference as soon as I took off from my driveway!! Then when I went through the turns I could really tell the diff.!!!! I took those turns faster then I ever have before!!!! I Recomend these to everybody!!! A++++++

Nice
I have a Neuspeed front upper bar and an eBay rear upper one (not the type R one). I noticed a difference with the front one but not really with the rear.

My rear one took like a half hour to put on. You have to peel the carpet back, which took the longest amount of time.
Here's mine. Looney_01Civic, the joints on yours (where the bar meets the ends) look more sturdy than the ones on mine.

IronFist - I cant see the ends on yours!! and yes the ends on mine are really stiff. The back bolts(closest to the front of the car) on the rear are the only thing that took long!! These bars in my opion are very good quality!!! I'm not one to put crap on my car!!! I highly recomend these bars!!!

Here's I'll show you a pic of what my ends look like:
Ok wtf, the only ones I can find on eBay right now are the type-R ones like you have. Too bad I'm not still in the market for one.
edit: I just found the one I have:

And here's yours:

Your ends look much sturdier.
Ok I have a question. On mine you can twist the bar itself because the ends are connected by a threaded screw-type thing which lets you adjust the distance between the ends. Does yours work like that or is your a true one piece design?
Also, how wide is your bar? Mine looks kind of skinny in that pic but it's about an inch wide in real life, and maybe 1/3" thick. It's a rounded rectangle.

yeah I can see that yours dont look to sturdy! Yes mine is a true one piece! you just line up the holes and put the bolt through. Its the rectangle design and it is about 1" wide and about 1/2" thick.

I paid $70 or something for my Neuspeed front upper strut bar. It's $100 new if you get a black one, or $120 for a chrome one (I don't know why, but it is). Anyway, it's worth that for the front one because it's one piece (like, actually one piece, you can't take anything apart or move anything around), and it allows an intake to fit as well.
Looney_01Civic, can you adjust where it bolts on to the mount? Or is there only one option?

IronFist, I have the Neuspeed front upper already - I picked mine up for $95 (black) at my Honda dealer of all places. For $15 + s/h on ebay, I'm tempted to try the TypeR rear.

no its not adjustable. but what the hell would you need to adjust anyways??? in my opion its pointless to pay $100 for one, when a $15 one will do the same thing!!

Well I already explained why the Neuspeed front upper one is the best.
but what the hell would you need to adjust anyways???
You twist it to tighten it.
Dude if you like suspension I recommend you get an RSX 19mm rear sway bar. It makes a much bigger difference than strut bars do.

and dont mean to hate.....but.... u do know that is fake and a its just a generic bar right. its not a really :type-r" bar they just put a sticker/badge on it. its a cool mod for show but not as good for handleing, like the neuspeed, cusco, spoon one. like i said, dont meant to hate just pointing out a fact. but looks good.

I wouldn't say it's useless. Anything that ties the struts together will help, it just might not help as much as the $180 Cusco one.
so tell me where exactly i put the front and rear bar,
The front one goes over the strut towers. I'll post two pics after this paragraph of it. If you open your hood you'll see where it goes. Just take the nuts off and then put the bar on and then put the nuts back on and tighten them. You might have to jack up the driver's side to get it to fit. It will be self explanitory when you get it. I think you torque the bolts down to 33lb/ft but I'm not sure. Look it up here, someone has posted it before.
This pic is kinda blurry:

Here's the type-R one (same pic from first post)

The rear one is the same, except you have to pull back some of the lining in the trunk to find where it goes. It helps if you put your back seats down and work from back in there, too. Good luck.
