Need some education on springs/coilovers?
I am new to the civic community. I have a Honda S2000 which I have no intention of lowering (RM racing front air dam would split it two
) and a Corvette which lowers on factory bolts so I have no experience with lowering springs and coilover kits. I have seen some really low priced coilovers and springs on ebay, but am thinking the prices are just too low, I smell
For example http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2439376817
Now what is the difference between these and the high dollar springs and coilover kits? I just want something that rides fairly well and drops me about 1.2-1.5 inches. I will be running 18 inch wheels with 215/40-18 tires so I am thinking that I cant go much lower? I do not want the wheels tucked, but would like to get as low as possible without scrubbing and tucking? Help the rookie out here guys.........................................and gals, sorry.

those coilovers you posted are the most crappiest piece of crap.... Read the FAQ then ask more questions....ok??? we are more than happy to assist you in understanding, but first read the basics then ask more specific questions.

yeah, I knew there was something crazy about something that cheap. They look just like the others I have seen, but then again I am not really up on the whole suspension thing. Thanks alot, I think I will just try to go with the eibach or goldline springs. I put alot of money in the vette and my wife cant handle two money pits. lol Thanks again

Yeah, you are right I probably overeacted, but I have only been on here two days and didnt know there was a FAQ section. I kinda just went to the parts for sale section and started trying to buy. lol I got mod fever already. Well at least these parts are much better prices than the vette. Thanks man

first of all, i was not *** at all...I was simply stating to read that first then to post more questions. It was a simple statment that is not hard to understand. There are alot of people who are rude on this site for people asking the same questions over and over again. I gave you my opinion on those coilovers and other agreed. I am just trying to help and you go and get pissy with me. It isn't because I have over 3000posts, but because I moderate this forum. I would really appreciate it if you did not react so poorly to my posts, because I felt i just instructed you to read something then come back and I told you that those coilovers would really suck. thank you
Tell me what you don't like about yourself....

They cant make my life hell, but he can not let me be on this forum. I really doubt that would make my life any better or worse. As for my remarks earlier I already stated that I probably overeacted.......how about we just let it go with that
