Flying hubcap + me == OWN3D - UPDATE PICS
Add another two **** scratches to the front bumper
Heading off to work, I drive local (i.e. no highway)..... I fill up on gas, then find out I left my cell phone at home.... Crap, I need the phone, as I'm expecting an important call... So I head home.....
On the way home, ricer white boy with sideway baseball cap with seat pushed back in a Cavalier almost rips off my fender by trying to cut into my lane last second to avoid people turning....
Now, fast forward about 30 seconds... ricer boy is no longer part of the story...
As I drive straight, all I see is this grey thing rolling very fast towards my car and WHOOMP, I hear and kinda feel (or is it in my head?) something hit my bumper.... FOCK. I start slowing down (going about 50km/h) and all of a sudden I see a white Accord in my rearview coming up REAL fast, and starting to swerve (too fast + bald tires + old car == rear end collision for me).... I pull over....
Some focker's POS hubcap smashed into my front bumper, right where the 'beak' is....
I didn't even see what car it was, but it was from a car coming from the opposite direction.... I assess the damage, and it's near the bottom centre of the bumper, near the 'lip', two big black marks about the size of your baby finger.... It's black because it took out a big chunk of the plastic..... Fock.
I mosy on home, and am pissed that I forgot my cell phone on the bed........... Fock!
I am really starting to hate hubcaps now......
UPDATE: November 9, 2003 - I had to rip off my bumper to fix my fogged up headlights, and GUESS WTF I FOUND INSIDE THE BUMPER.............
I found a PLASTIC "wheel nut" nestled inside! It was part of that focking plastic hubcap!!!! I guess that portion of it tore off and got stuck inside my bumper.

No rear end collision.... If I didn't look into my rearview, and just stomped on the brakes, most likely that Accord would have hit me... When I saw him swerve, I quickly accelerated again, got into the right lane, then turned into a small street.
