How to remove sedan rear bumper?

My mom's car got rear ended by a motorcycle..its a 02 Sedan...anyways there is a tiny dent, and paint is chipped somewhat..so instead of going to a bodyshop and paying the 400 bucks they quoted...I want to do the work myself...now I need to remove the rear bumper...well I had instructions on how to remove a 6th gen tail lights...but I don't think they'll help me...so far I removed all the bolts in the fenderwells from both sides....and the screws by the tail lights...what other bolts/clips/whatever do I have left to remove? Thx

Check the bottom of the bumper for any clips. If there are clips, I'm guessing theres going to be 4 clips. You have to use a flathead to pull them off. Sorry I don't remember if there were any.

You already took out the other bolts/clips so after checking for the clips you can just pull from the sides and the bumper should come off.
It's held on by tabs/clips that come apart with a little tugging.

- 2 bolts by the taillights
- 2 screws on either side in the wheelwell
- 4 clips under the bumper

I just removed mine a couple weeks ago.

You'll need a flathead screwdriver for the clips, Philips stubby screwdriver for the screws (you can use an 8mm socket for one of those - the ones that go into the rear fender).

say this is the bumper
\________/

are the clips underside the bumper? meaning I have to get down on the floor to get to them or are they up top so that I need to remove some panel in the trunk to get to them

I'm guessing they are on the bottom and are in the
\_x_x_x_x_/ arrangement.

under the bumper u'll see 2 clips that u need to pry out wit a flathead....and then u have to remove 2 bolts from both sides behind the rear wheels....open the trunk and remove the 2 bolts next to the tail lights...they r covered by this oval plastic piece...pry those out also wit a flathead and u'll see the bolts.....after all that, u jus pull out the bumper
