2004 civic, whats your opinion
i apologize if this topic has been discussed in detail before. but i just saw the pics of the redesigned civic for 2004. what is your opinion. before seeing the pics i would have the thought the new civic would look like the current accord, and i felt like it borrowed alot from its bigger brother. personally i like the new 2004 civic. btw the pics are at hondanews.com
actually a lot have been popping up around where i live. i've been seeing a lot of '04 sedans and today i saw a silver one. at first it was coming down the road and i was like wtf is that, i seriously thought it was a mazda6 at first but when it got closer, well, it became obvious.
its pretty nice but i wouldn't trade in my '03 for it. the only things i would want off the '04 is probably the rear bumper, and maby tailights. i also like the new colors honda has for it.
in person, it doesn't look anything like a camry/corolla contrary to popular belief...well, IMO

I like the tail lights on the coupe along with the black grill. I find the rear bumper where those fins come down kind of arbitrary. The the redesigned front facia is pretty nice though.
after seeing a couple 04's on the street it seems that the front and the back dont flow that well. the lights in the front are too streched out and rounded compared to the tailights (on the coupe). other then that its nice, esspeciallt the new colors

Exactly, when the 01 civics came out i though they were ugly *** hell.
to me the 04 lx looks like a much more quality made car than the 01 lx, which came with those ugly unpainted side door handles.
Overall each year improved with the civic IMO, I love the dash in the 03-04 models
I miss the days when it wss rare to see a nice 7th gen roaming the streets, now they seem just as old as 6th gens.
Just think, theres going to be a 8th gen soon. Then our cars will really seem old!
this has been dicussed quite a bit, but its not bad looking, but the camry look hurts it.
what could have been a slam dunk in mid generation styling "refresh" is not because of toyotish looks

I cant believe they did that to our car. T-o-y-o-t-a is what I thought at first, but the more I look at it, the less it looks like a Toyota. Na the bumpers dont go well together, but I guess they are trying to leave room for improvement for the '05. Damn that sounds weird; 2005 Honda Civic. Damn time sure flys.
Oh well it will grow on us.
Hopefully they will just go ahead and throw the 8th gen at us soon.
Of course, after our little 7thgens get more aftermarket support.

civic 2004 hmmm lets see same engine, same name, different body my opinion is its the same **** new toilet. Yes it has different body style but its still all show and no go so im not going to buy one. Im leaning towards a rsx type s 200 ponys and 142 tq i ranther have something that goes as fast as it looks. Plus ive seen mothers driving civics goes to how powerful they really are.

DOOD this has been discussed already. Im tired of these 2004 civic threads. IF you want to discuss the 2004, then search for the big thread and bring it back up...Stop creating new 2004 civic threads.
