would revo short shifter solve popping out of 2nd gear?
hey
i have that problem where the odd time when im trying in second gear the shifter would pop out and the gears would begin to grind. honda fixed this by installing new bushings. it helped the problem a lot but the odd time in a parking lot or sumthin...the shifter would just pop out of gear. would the revo ss or ne other short shift adapter fix this problem??
thanks

No. That problem is on a TSB (a service bulletin). Its an internal transmission issue. Take it back in and bitch at them until they fix it.

had that problem. Honda fixed it. in fact honda has replaced my transmission about 1.8 times..... replaced some gears, changed some of the control forks, and then finally swaped the whole thing out.

thanks for the info ...but the only thing is that honda wont attempt to fix that because i cant recreate it. it just happens out of nowhere. and if honda test drives it and the shifter doesnt pop out or nething then they wont do ****..

I had to take mine in a couple of times, what was happining with mine is: If you shifted up from 1st to 2nd and turned the steering wheel about a quarter turn to the right and pushed on the gas, it would pop in to nutural.... weird, but I could reproduce it. happend all the time because I make a lot of right hand turns for some reason.
try it and see if its that.
Oh ya, I was the one that had to drive it to get the thing to do it to, they could never reproduce it.

Listen, I had the exact same problem. Honda started by replcing the bushings, but that is just a quick fix, and it didn't really solve the problem. Then they replced a couple of gears. I was okay for another little while. Then one day out of the blue. I started up my car at a gas station and I HAD NO TRANSMISSION. totally ****ed up. Got the car towed in and they replaced the entire tranny. No problems since. Honda knows about the problem -hence the TSB. That 'recreate the problem' talk is bullshit. get them to give you a new tranny.
