how to make clear taillights black???

i got one question that i hope can be answered......i just cleared and painted my front headlights black but i have clear taillights so they dont match so i put the originals back in.....anyways this is where my question comes in....how the hell do i make my clear taillights black??? i dont want to spend more $$$.......id rather diy them......i have Eurolite clear tailights please help me get them painted black......thanx!

so let me get this rite, u wanna paint ur tail to black? in other words, smoke ur tails? if thats the case, theres a 7gc member that does a great job on smokin tails, forgot the username though....search member's ride, u'll find it

you could put back in your stock tails, or whichever tail you perfer and buy this transparent tailight paint. you're supposed to just spray it on. the more coats you have the darker it'll go, and light is still able to show through. my friend did this to his car and it looks good.

disassemble the taillights and then paint the housings black to match your headlights...then reassemble and seal

If they dont come apart easily throw them in the oven on low heat for a few very short minutes to heat up and loosen the sealant then pry open.

thank you guys for the support.....i already tried prying them apart but the silicone they use on tailights are stronger than the headlights......i will try the oven thing but wouldn't that damage the inside?

*if it works on headlights it should work for taillights also*

try it @ 100-150degrees for a few minutes...that should make it softer and easier to disassemble...if its still tough, put them back in for a bit longer

NO....the altazza tail light's cover is hard to take off!!! the tail light used glue to seal them....they are not like the stock front light's cover can take them off so easily....i got a pair of angle ring altazza tail lights and want to paint it black inside....but i fxxx up them!! i broke the cover so badly even though i do it so careful....then......it ended up i have to put my stock tail light back on and throw the altazza away ....T_T

it's a biatch, but take your time and it works..i painted a border around the edges of the clear lens so you can't see where it was pry'd on the inside

regardless of your mishap, it can be done...just takes some time and patience

damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sooooooo f(ucked up my taillights i tried using a hair blow drier and that didnt work then i tried the oven and that didnt work either, jackal903 was so right those tailights are glued now i broke one of them but i am thinkin of another thing now.....instead of throwing them away im thinkin of sprayin the reflectors with clear coat then paint the back ground black and leave them as 3d tailights if u know what i mean........post ur thoughts guys!

i know rider (green 7thgen) made his apc 3-rings 3d style by taking off the cover and painting the housing... but i think you would have a water problem
