I don't think they would just drop the EL like that. I imagine it may stick around for another generation but I'm crossing my fingers that its design will deviate a lil more from the Civic (ahem, 2.0L iVTEC please!!!!).
I really dig that front end... holy ****... I kinda hate the backend though, with all those freaking roundl lights... makes it look so..... ricey.
I don't like the built-in cheezy, useless fogs, but DAMN, that front end is soooo sexay!
imp:
well..the round circle tail lights is what Honda marketing thinks people want because of those people who buy those kinds of taillights has made them so popular. This makes them think that if those round circles are OE, more people would buy the car.
Never understood why people can spend $350+ for tail lights, but not the same amount for something that adds true performance to your ride. Its not like adding round tail lights will improve stopping distance or increase braking visibility. But that's the rice market for ya.
The point is, the circle tail lights is a direct result of the rice consumer. If we all started to buy Recaro seats, may be Honda will finally listen to us performance tuning enthusiasts (excluded ricers here) and include them in all the Type Rs that come to North America; just like their TypeRs in the JDM. But this will never happen because there are too many people that want those damned tail lights.

From what I hear there will be no aero kit (at least not this year). I too like the new front end with integrated fogs. Kinda pisses me off though since there were no OEM fogs at all (not even as an option) for the 01-03 1.7ELs.

Hey Mark, chill, you don't need fogs! Just grab some superbrite LED's like I did!!! Bwahahahahaaa!!!
Plus just think of the horrors of modding a front lip onto that bumper, nice as it is. OK fine, I'm just trying to make myself feel better about having a now-outdated 02...

Those pics seem to show that the entire front bumper should fit on the 01-03's without any mods, other than buying new bumper lights/fogs.... (Though that would also mean some electrical work to hook everything up)
