Need help on why exhaust rattles...maybe cause of cold temperature?

Hey guys,

Lately my exhaust......I have a full cat back exhaust........has been rattling when I start up my car and then after a few minutes of driving the rattle will stop. The weather lately has been getting cooler at night and in the morning so maybe that has something to do with it?

I hope someone can help me as I understand the exahust will rattle if it gets wet but this time the exhaust rattles because of something different.

Also one more thing.......after getting a full cat back exhaust on do I ever need to go back to the muffler shop to have any bolts tightened or it should be good to go? Thanks alot.

Maybe one morning crawl under your car and try to find out where the rattling is coming from. Then depending on that perhaps someone can recommend a fix.

If its a bolt-on cat back, or any part that has the potential of becoming loose its always good to check and re-torque any loose nuts, bolts clamps fittings etc.

all exhausts shake when you idle low, which my civic did. this is due to the motor nothing to worry bout the rattling is when your exhaust smacks the rear sway.

Christ, im still trying to figure out why my car sounds like hell when i hit a puddle, or drive in the rain. I dont have a rattle in the cold weather, but the rain sure sets my car off.
