Question Is there ANY street legal turbo kit?!

Im wanting to get about a 40% or 50% increase in HP, and a turbo kit seems to be the way to go...but I need it to be COMPLETELY street legal. Is there any turbo kit that that does this? I've heard that they're all not CARB legal, so is that correct? If so, what's the cheapest way to LEGALLY give me a 40% increase in HP?

hmm....well cant i just take the turbo itself out and just have the two oil hoses that would normally go through the turbo attached to eachother? So that the oil just flows right on through?

no cause ones steal braided and the other a ruber hose which is 3 times the size of it... theres no way to do it... You would have to remove the T fitting from the feed line.. reinstall the oil sender/sensor in its place again, and then i duno.. weld the oil pan hole shut or get a new oil pan.

oh well. I'm not exactly in touch with all the laws. Anyways, I contacted SF about the oil pan, and they include a plug for it. All you have to take off is the turbo/headers and the intercooler. Plug the oil pan with the inclued plug, and reroute the pipes around the intercooler and put the stock headers back on. According to them, its about 1-2 hours to take off enough to make it legal. Coo, only another $1500 to go

if you keep the catalytic converter, any turbo kit will pass emissions. THe problem is the visual. From what I hear, it is illegal simply to have a turbo installed in your car (aftermarket). Anyways, I'm going to get the SY kit, and it only takes like 2 hours to take out enough for it to pass inspection.
