Got a job at countrywide!!!!
but question now is do i take it? first i really really wanted to work there but now i'm having second thoughts. they pay 50 cent less than what i make here but there are opportunities to move up there. they are also an extra 30-45 min drive from here. and they also just fired 500 people. question is do i take the risk and try to make more money or do i just stay and look for a better opportunity?
i applied online for the calabasas office, didnt get it. called to ask why but they had a recording saying to go online. so i rubbed it off and was like whatever.
one day i was looking through their site and saw they were having an open house. looked at the day and it was THAT DAY. i wasnt prepared or anything. but still on my lunch break i went thinking what do i have to lose. i get there fill out my app and its already been an hour. so i called work and told them my mom's car broke down. boss just said take the rest of the day off(how cool is that). i went through the interviews and everything. took a typing test and did a whopping 59wpm. the lady was like 'woah thats one of the fastest scores i've seen'. i didnt think i'd get it cause there were ALOT of people applying that day. but the other day my co-worker told me she got a call asking about my employment. why else would they call if they werent interested. yesterday was a week from the interview and they told me to call in a week but i didnt. i dunno why but i didnt. but today i got a call from them saying they want me. question is now, do i want it.

ya its the simivalley one. well imma be a temp-hire so i'll be in a 5 mile radius of simivalley for now.. i think imma be at 400 countrywide way one tho. what position and what department do you work at? how long have you been there?
but then i heard they just fired 500 people. and that not too many people were buying houses anymore...
honestly, is it easy to move up? do they give raises often? is it possible to relocate? i want honest answers and not what they tell you or want you to tell people.

I know how you feel. I had a chance to work for Homestore.com / Realtor.com where I work now and I took a pay cut and went to a temp postion and now I'm salary with benifits and stock options. I don't know your back round but there are some job post under the company name homestore.com on monster.com and we are in Westlake village right off the 101 FW at russell ranch road.
P.S. and to be honest I flipped a coin. Catch shoplifters or change my direction in life.
