i went to the dealer today

i went to the dealer today and told them about my car's problem..
heres list

-clicking sound when depressing clutch pedal
-huge clicking sound when shifting at rest (idle or key off)
-rattling from trunk area when closing the car door
-little chrome color pieces on a/c vents rattle
-weird sound from right rear of the car when firmly pressing the brake pedal
-stiff shifter going into 2nd and 5th

i told them about all these
and they just called me a sec ago saying my car is all checked
but those are all normal for this car..
i was like, in my mind, wtf..i kno they are frequent problems but are they normal? do i have to just deal with it? hell no..
i counldnt argue anything cuz my english really sux when i speak..
i kno i have TSB's for clicking clutch and stiff 2nd and 5th so i will print them out and
take them to dealer but what about rest of them?
what should i do??

Welcome to the civic world. Something always rattles, and those you just have to fix yourself.

You can get the dealer to fix the rattles for you. But first you have to isolate exactly where it comes from and let them know that you believe there is a flaw in workmanship. If you want them to find the rattle(s), their typical answer is we can't locate the casue.

Dealers are typically too busy to spend much time locating problem that does not generate profit. If they spend an hour finding the problem and only require 15 minutes to fix, Honda only pays them for the 15 minutes of labor. That's why if you want to get something fixed, you have to be exact in your request. A convincing reason goes a long way in getting dealers to fix questionable warranty issues.

Re: i went to the dealer today

-clicking sound when depressing clutch pedal --- Get lithium grease or some other light grease, slobber it all over the return spring under the dash.

-huge clicking sound when shifting at rest (idle or key off) -- thats normal. Thats the gears shifting... you just can't hear it with the engine revved up
-rattling from trunk area when closing the car door -- thats the exhaust, deal with it or get a different one
-little chrome color pieces on a/c vents rattle -- they should fix that
-weird sound from right rear of the car when firmly pressing the brake pedal --- maybe have some dirt in the drum
-stiff shifter going into 2nd and 5th -- I believe thats TSB
