03 Dash removal impossible?
03 Dash removal impossible?
I think so. I just looked at it and I didnt even see a screw. I tried wedging the old flat head in some tight spaces and nothing freed up. What are we up against here? Im thinking about just taking it somewhere and being charged an arm and a leg but its better than being put through hell. Dont ya think? Any suggestions?

Dash removal as in stereo or as in gauge cluster? There is always a way to remove these things. Try an audio place if you know someone there who can help you.

First, remove your center console. Then remove where the 12V plug is. Finally, remove the two bolts that hold the HU/Pocket piece in place and pull it out (it's held in with clips after that) Look in the DIY section, it's been covered b4

takes about an hour and a half, trust me, i did it, you need a snake screw driver. There is about 30 screws on the back side that you can not see that will require you to take it off, you have to remove the steering wheel and you have to remove the airbags. Its not a fun or easy task.
Yeah I had the same problem so I just gave up on it and decided to just paint trim pieces instead of my dash...ok first of all u gotta take off the center console to the get cd player trim part out...it is hard as crap but the horseshoe shaped piece that goes around the cig. lighter piece and goes down the side of the centerconsole...yeah get something like a butterknife and a cloth and pop that stuff out...i know it seems hard at first but it will come out...be careful not to crack it cuz i cracked a small section when i did it...once you get that off look under the cd player part of the dash...there is a metal bracket with 2 bolts....take them off...then reach your hand up under that thing and pulll it up and towards you...you will see that the piece is trying to come out...keep doing it and i will pop out with a little force...give it a try...it might take a while though....but it will work
