headlight bulbs

last night on my way home my headlight bulbs went out.. when i got home i noticed that the bulb hade shattered inside the housing.. was wondering what could have caused it?

both bubls went out at the same time and on the plugs for the bulb were covered in some kinda of gooey stuff

are these your stock bulbs? the gooey stuff is just sealant so moisture doesn't get to the connectors

after market generic bulbs like to explode and waste yer money.. so on my TYC's i juss stayed stock and savin up for sum razo premiums

how long did you have them? because if you touched the glass when you installed them that can make them explode.

would it be the fuse went out and not the light bulb? check the fuse box in the driver kick, or the one under the hood. there have two different fuse boxes on civic. last time i asked a similar question on here. and NO ONE TELL ME THERE IS ANOTHER FUSE BOXES UNDER THE HOOD.. it took me a long time to find it out. i should not be went out in the same time. but aftermaket light bulb ususally went out in 2-3months.

well i can tell you its not fuse because i put my oem bulbs back in and they work. plus the aftermarket ones shattered inside the housing.

yup... I had those EXACT same bulbs... And one of mine blew up in the housing too...

If i remember right.. they are 90w bulbs.

I don't know if it is just at th shop here but I got some nice aftermarket Eurolite Headlights and they came with a 5 month warrenty, they lasted me about a year before burning out and were only $20
