alright i got $3k saved up and planned on getting a SF turbo kit but now that i have the cash in hand i'm thinking of all the other things i could get instead.
i'm hearing excellent things about the turbo but people are saying putting a turbo on an AT (which is what i have) is pointless. if i didnt get a turbo with the $$$ i was thinking Tein SS, with some ICE like DVD player, new amp/subs or even a kit and some rims. its funny sometimes i feel like "man i need more speed" but other times i'm like "turbo might not be great on an AT, i could get some sweet ICE and whatever else!"
what you guys think, i need some opinions!

From what I "heard", turbo is good for auto. For mannul, each time u shift, you need to let go the gas, then u will lose boost. I have auto too and waiting on sf turbo kit

i say turbo, everyone else has the damn tiens or the damn ICE and dvd players. there are only like 2 AT turbo civics out there, and they rarely post how fast/powerful they are

One of us doesn't HAVE TO be fast, we all drive Civics, we all roll with the same 7thgen, it's no surprise either what we have and what mods we put on. It's not like we race for money, we mostly just mess around on the freeways and what not. Over time, turbo will kill your engine, plus install for the turbo is a grip. BTW, that's no tech day project either haha. It's up to you though, i say at LEAST get tint, rims, and a drop. That's like 250 for tint, 7-800 for wheels (with tires) from WheelMax, and springs are like 150. A little over a G, but it'll look helza nice, oh yeah, make sure to save up 100 for a camber kit too. THEN do your turbo.

BTW, with 3g's, not saying ur gonna spend all of it, but with that, after getting rims, tint, and springs, we could build you a badass sound system (tech day project). Change out all the speakers, then snag a nice amp and some nice subs off ebay. You can get nice bass, or great bass (if you wanna go competition, or just give your ladies in your car orgasm's everytime Pony (by Ginuwine) comes on" Again, it's all up to you and your taste. If you go turbo, alcohol inject that ****, if you're gonna break street legal rules, go for it.

I say turbo.

Why?

Because if you're really serious about it - you know how exactly a turbo works for an engine, and you're willing to do the maintenance then go for it because it's a very expensive mod. Get your most expensive mods out the way. If you end up selling your car you'll have more money coming back to you and you'll have to sell less items not worrying about if a buyer wants this or that and this. If you had to sell your car tomorrow then at least you have all of your money.

I think it's the most efficient way.

LOL I felt the same way before many times! but each time that i do that i just ask myself this one question "what will make ME happy, when i go out to MY car each morning will (Blank) make me happy and more excited to drive my car?" That should help YOU make up your mind.

thats just it, my mood changes more than a pregnant woman, lol. when i'm just cruising down the street i think "man it would be sweet to be watching a dvd right now" or "my stero is pretty loud but it could be MUCH louder!", then when i try to get on the freeway i'm like "f*ck, this is slow, gotta get a turbo!"
think imma get the turbo, its been my plan for a long time and i'm gonna stick to it. plus i want to show that there is hope for the D17 even if its an AT. its not like i'm not gonna come up on 3g's again anyways, and a sound system wouldnt cost more than 2g's. so as soon as this check clears for $1600, its time for me to make a call to SFpower.

i'm actually gonna take a 3 day trip to Lancaster to the SF shop and have Mike (SFpower) install it...i wouldnt trust my work on something this big, lol. i figure go down there one day, next day let him install it and then come back same day and use the next day for "sleeping" around the town, hehe.
