Horn Relay
Horn Relay
When you push the lock button on the keyless entry, it honks your horn. Is the relay that honks your horn then, the same relay that operates the horn from inside the car when you actually honk it?

the keyless entry unit sends a pulse to the same relay that is activated by your horn on the steering wheel...so yes...same relay

yes you can. find out which wire from the control module sends a pulse, cut it, and use another relay.

actually, the cheap way of doing it would be to use that relay and power a DEI siren...so it will chirp and go off just like an aftermarket alarm...for $12.99

the siren you hear on any aftermarket alarm is already programmed with the tones. so all it needs is 12v and ground. if you ground the siren and use a relay from the arm/disarm pulses on your car, the siren will chirp and go off just like any aftermarket alarm.
